I submitted the week 5 paper on multiplexing. I will lose points again for lateness.

Working on week 5 paper
I started by downloading and reviewing the "required" resources for the week. Then, I searched for additional articles in the NCU Library.
The topic is very technical - multiplexing. From the resources I reviewed, I found a few areas/aspects interesting (more than others). I think my paper will have a focus on one of those areas/aspects.
Resources List:
Supplemental resources (a few screenshots):
The Library's website has a new look! I noticed a few interesting library events. Hopefully, I'll have time to attend a few.

Week 4 paper submitted
I completed and submitted the paper by the deadline. For this assignment, I had to decide how to deal with different/conflicting information (when the stuff you read do not "jive").

Did not meet deadline
Repost (from Facebook, GooglePlus, BeBee, LinkedIn...)
I didn't meet the deadline. I will submit the paper today.
INTERESTING TIDBIT:
Do you think about regrets you may have when you make choices, decisions, and so on? All sorts or types of regrets, including regretting not doing something or taking a certain path?
I have no problem with some decisions others may squirm at. After all, I am the girl who decided to drive from DC to Baltimore on the 95 (major highway with trucks and heavy traffic) when she was a rookie driver with pretty much no highway driving experience. That was a long time ago and it was quite an experience.
Better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all

May not meet deadline
Repost (also posted on Facebook, GooglePlus, BeBee, LinkedIn...)
STATUS: I just returned from church. I will now continue working on my paper (due today). I am worried that I will not meet the deadline because there is so much to do. A reminder that my papers do not write themselves!
INTERESTING TIDBIT:
More on my papers (maybe I will receive funding on one of these)...
When I started working on the following paper for the IT Management course, I really believed diagrams were always better than written explanations. By the end of the paper, I was not so sure. I liked the BPMN diagram in the paper (I learned some BPMN at a previous job). But, I actually liked my written explanation better.
Paper: Documenting a Business Process

This week's assignment
I am about to start the first draft (a little late). As usual, I will try to put my personal touches in it, i.e. make it mine/personal - some would say "put my spin into it."
I am not worried that I didn't interview a WAN manager. I remember the "alternative" papers I prepared for the Database Admin and Mngt course. I actually liked those alternative papers (the week 5 paper and the week 2 paper). In the week 2 paper, I used my own background/experience. I think I learned a whole lot more from that week 5 paper.
Work continues.

STATUS: I am about to start working on the paper for this week. I have lots of time to complete. I don't expect an unusual rush/hurry to complete this week's paper like I did for last week's paper (link: http://itdatacommmoorefo1.blogspot.com/2017/04/week1-assignment-completed.html). I got a lot done - 2016 txaes filed and so on.
INTERESTING TIDBIT:
People usually can identify the artist or designer behind a "piece" of art or design. For example, a lot of people can identify designer Frank Lloyd Wright from his home designs. His work is "different". The work of artists and designers also "tell" or "say" a lot about them - in different ways. The artist may be sad or angry or bold.
I tried to create a Pinterest designer profile that says a lot about me (reflects my background, style, interests - sort of the way my school papers reflect my background or my clothes/outfits/selections say a lot about me). A lot of the details are from my background. What do you think?https://www.pinterest.com/FMooreDesigns

INTERESTING TIDBIT:The papers I prepared for the Research Methods course touched on a lot of topics/areas. The following paper touched on compensation, performance and IT. It reminds me of UofGuy economics and econometrics. (I liked lags/lagging since back then. I used lags in one of the papers.)
Relationship between Compensation & Employee Performance in Healthcare Infection Controlhttps://www.slideshare.net/FahmeenaOdettaMoore/moorefbtm73039final-64986591https://doi.org/10.13140/RG.2.1.3725.5924
Is it coincidence that my mother works in health care (mostly as a private duty nurse/aide for elderly), my cousin works in infection control (ensuring surgical instruments are sterile/clean), and another family member worked in "housekeeping" for a while?

Currently working on week 3 assignment
I started working on the week 3 assignment a short while ago. For the assignment, I need to interview the manager of a wide area network (WAN) or build a hypothetical WAN and analyze the network's functionality. Since it is usually challenging to get managers and companies to participate (and it is late anyway), I will build a hypothetical WAN.
I started reading & selecting resources (articles, books etc.)...
Some resources looked good, but I could not access/download the full paper. I hate when that happens!....

Working on week 2 assignment
I am currently working on the write-up...making good progress. Still lots of work left.
I like the paper so far. I am not sure what the professor would think. Hopefully, I will get a better grade for this paper - I got a B for the last one.

Working on week 1 paper
For several hours today, I worked on the week 1 paper. I searched for articles, thought about what I would include in the paper (my angle/approach/focus) and prepared an outline. The outline is really helpful because there is a lot of "stuff" to include in the 5-7 page paper (details of each layer of OSI model, critique of OSI model etc.).
I received a grade for the first activity. I think this means I do not need to prepare a response. I will look into it.

Post completed
I found/read some good resources then started writing (the post). I ended with a paragraph of about 215 words - a little more than the required 150-200 words.
