Course completed

I received a grade for the signature assignment already! I submitted it a few days ago.

A few days before that signature assignment was due....
I was busy, stressed, and not feeling well. I was worried I would not complete the assignment (and maybe fail the course). I "kicked into gear," worked and workked, and finally submitted something. I did what I could in the time I had. I needed a little more time for some final touches.

Week 7 assignment completed and submitted

I completed and submitted the week 7 assignment. I liked the assignment - I basically pulled together a list of the books, articles, and other resources I found useful during the course and made decisions on/about the 23 resources I wanted to include in the paper, how I wanted to "organize" the 23, and how much I wanted to write about each.

The paper:
Twenty three computer networking resources
Link to paper in ResearchGate

I had trouble adding the paper to Academia.edu (so no update to Twitter).

Assignment submitted

Wee 6 assignment submitted! I included a "simple" model in the paper, which reminded me of the "simple" perfect competition model used in economics. The paper also includes a more complex 10-router network.

Paper:
Routing
Paper in ResearchGate
Paper in Academia.edu

Two more weeks! Next week, an annotated bibliography is due. Then there is the signature assignment for the course.

Content post finished and submitted

I finished and submitted (posted) the content post. There was a slight change in plans. I wanted to include some details about routing in optical networks, but ended up not doing so. I was at 200 words before I started writing about optical networks.

(I now see an error - title of article capitalized. Too late to fix. This is a reminder of a problem/issue I had in primary school. I learned to carefully review - check and double check - my work before submitting. How times have changed!)

(I edited the post in Microsoft Word to reduce the word count. I ended up with exactly 200 words.)

Working on the content post due today

For this week's assignments, I started reviewing resources. As usual, I was searching for and reviewing articles at the NCU library.

A 150-word content post is due today.
I have a strategy: start with a general discussion of what routers do followed with some specifics about routing in an optical network. A found a really good article on simple, efficient routing schemes for optical networks that should be helpful.
